About the role
The Practice Development Manager plays a key role in supporting MyEyeDr.’s Practice Development team in development initiatives, including due diligence, financial modeling, and analysis related to acquisitions, de novos, and other growth opportunities. This role manages post-LOI acquisition processes to ensure deals progress efficiently from LOI to Closing. The Manager will conduct market analyses to identify whitespace opportunities, shaping the organization’s future growth strategy. They will lead pre-committee transaction evaluations and ad hoc strategic analyses by collaborating across departments to gather and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative insights. Post-committee, the Manager partners with sellers, attorneys, brokers, and internal teams to execute acquisitions that are operationally sound and legally compliant. Serving as a key liaison to the Practice Development Directors, the Manager often acts as the first point of contact for deal review, materials preparation, and executive-ready summaries that inform senior leadership decision-making. This position reports to the Senior Director, Practice Development.

This is a hybrid remote role, offering a flexible work arrangement out of either our Raleigh, NC or Vienna, VA offices.

 

You Will

  • Partner with Senior Director to develop initial acquisition projections and identify key operational metrics.
  • Independently analyze prospective deals, build projections and presentations, refine offers, and highlight operational considerations.
  • Prepare weekly Acquisition Committee materials for Senior Director and EVP review.
  • Draft and update Letters of Intent outlining key acquisition terms.
  • Distribute signed LOIs and Committee documents to counsel and integration teams to initiate post-LOI processes.
  • Lead creation of large acquisition presentations; build and review analysis prepared by Analysts before Director/EVP input.
  • Serve as point person for diligence gathering and coordination across departments.
  • Collaborate with senior management on financial, operational, and legal diligence.
  • Support integration efforts following acquisition completion.
  • Lead post-LOI legal negotiations and diligence alongside in-house and external counsel.
  • Act as business lead through post-LOI to Closing, coordinating with seller doctors and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Analyze existing and new markets for growth opportunities based on demographics, competition, and acquisition potential.
  • Partner with Practice Development Directors to refine market development plans.
  • Develop quarterly M&A Board content with Director and EVP as needed.
  • Use real estate analytics to assess new markets and growth strategies (e.g., Joint Ventures, De Novos, new states).
  • Create monthly and quarterly acquisition performance reports for senior management.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting, Transaction Advisory, Corporate Development or Consulting required
  • BA/BS in Finance, Strategy or related field required
  • Advanced proficiency in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel (pivot tables, formulas, and data comparison) and PowerPoint.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to develop methodologies, leverage data tools, and synthesize insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills; able to navigate and influence cross-functional teams and business leaders to bridge gaps, negotiate terms, and drive successful acquisitions.
  • Process-oriented with strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume, time-sensitive work with intellectual curiosity, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Skilled at transforming complex data and ideas into clear, compelling presentations and visualizations.
  • Collaborative and self-motivated, able to work effectively both independently and as part of a broader team.
  • Able to manage ambiguity by identifying options, forming well-reasoned recommendations, and knowing when to engage leadership for alignment and decision-making.
  • Works independently and efficiently to advance complex projects with accuracy and consistency, delivering high-quality outputs for leadership review.
